Tensegrity with Paris Payne – a great word! It’s used to describe the way that the intrinsic tension of a structure creates its form. The childs toy that I am holding in the picture gets its symmetry and form from the balanced tension of the elastic parts. The human body is just the same. We get a large part of our structural symmetry from the balanced tension of our elastic parts (muscle tendon units). If we experience or cause an imbalance in these tensions we upset the balance and that’s when injury and trouble starts. The good news is that we can re-balance these tensions with various techniques.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
